From PaintCare’s drop-off map ↗, updated October 6, 2026. Hours and limits are PaintCare’s. Distances are straight-line, not driving.
Take the labeled cans to the ReStore on Highway 101 North. It’s a PaintCare drop-off with a 5-gallon limit per visit. The ReStore doesn’t post hours online, so call 503-377-0204 first.
Save it all for the county’s hazardous waste day at the Ekloff Road transfer station, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. PaintCare lists the next one as December 12; call the county to confirm. PaintCare lists a 20-gallon paint limit. Keep everything in labeled cans, and drop off any trash first.
The county says its Manzanita station serves the north end of the county. Use it instead of driving to Tillamook. It takes up to 20 gallons of house paint per visit, plus empty cans. It’s closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Mondays from January through March.
Latex paint can go to any PaintCare drop-off. For oil-based paint and other chemicals, register as a very small business with CleanEarth, the county’s contractor, and book a business slot. PaintCare lists Friday, December 11 as the next business day; the county hasn’t posted 2026 business dates. CleanEarth quotes from your list, and you pay at drop-off.
Buy Tillamook County’s recycled latex paint: $24 for 3½ gallons in seven colors, at the ReStore, Manzanita, Pacific City or the Marolf Loop office by appointment.
For up to 5 gallons, take labeled cans to the Habitat ReStore at 4192 Hwy 101 N; call 503-377-0204 for hours. For more paint, or for thinner and spray cans, wait for the county’s hazardous waste day at 1315 Ekloff Rd, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. PaintCare lists the next one as Saturday, December 12; the county hasn’t posted it yet, so call 503-815-3975. The October 10 day has passed.
In Tillamook, Oregon, leftover paint goes to one of two places. For a small amount, use the Habitat ReStore on Highway 101 north of town, a PaintCare drop-off. For a garage full, or for thinner and spray cans, wait for a Tillamook County household hazardous waste day at the Tillamook Transfer Station on Ekloff Road. Those Saturdays happen about every other month, so plan ahead.
Tillamook has no everyday drop-off for more than 5 gallons in town. The ReStore takes 5 gallons per visit. Anything more, plus spray cans and thinner, waits for a county collection Saturday, unless you drive to Manzanita, which takes 20 gallons.
The Ekloff Road hazardous waste site opens 9 a.m.–1 p.m. on set Saturdays, not every day. The county’s web page still shows 2025 dates. Saturday, December 12 is on PaintCare’s list but not yet on the county’s. Call 503-815-3975 to confirm before you load up.
The county runs satellite transfer stations for the north and south ends of the county. The Manzanita station on Necarney City Road takes up to 20 gallons of house paint per visit, Thursday through Sunday (and Mondays from April through December). It even takes empty paint cans.
Tillamook County sells recycled latex paint in seven colors for $24 per 3½ gallons. Find it at the ReStore, the Manzanita station, the Pacific City station, or the Solid Waste office at 503 Marolf Loop (by appointment).
The county says the Pacific City Transfer Station now takes garbage only on Saturdays and Sundays, and recycling moved to Cloverdale Public Works. The county doesn’t list Pacific City as a paint drop-off. In the south county, check PaintCare’s locator for Pacific City True Value.
If you have 100 gallons or more, PaintCare will pick it up for free; request it at View program details ↗ . Good, usable paint can also go to someone who will use it. For anything that isn’t house paint (spray cans, thinner, pesticides), the county’s hazardous waste day is the only local option. Questions go to Tillamook County Solid Waste at 503-815-3975.

Keep paint in its original labeled cans with tight lids, 5 gallons or smaller. Leave empty and leaking cans at home unless you’re going to Manzanita, which takes empties. On a hazardous waste day, drop off any regular garbage first, then join the line with only hazardous items. Bring your white block Styrofoam too; it’s taken that day.
Full preparation checklist →PaintCare lists Saturday, December 12, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., at 1315 Ekloff Rd. That date comes only from PaintCare; the county’s own page still shows last year’s dates. The October 10 collection has passed. Call 503-815-3975 to confirm.
The county only lists hazardous waste collection on its scheduled Saturdays. On other days, take house paint to the ReStore or the Manzanita station instead.
PaintCare lists 20 gallons per visit at the county collection and at Manzanita, and 5 gallons per visit at the ReStore. The county itself doesn’t post a limit. For 100 gallons or more, ask PaintCare for a free pickup.
Only very small businesses, and only with an appointment. Send the county’s business form to CleanEarth, the contractor, and you’ll get a time and a price. You pay at drop-off.
Yes, on hazardous waste days. Aerosol spray products are on the county’s list. The ReStore and Manzanita don’t take spray cans.
October 13, 2026: read Tillamook County Solid Waste’s Hazardous Waste Collection, Solid Waste Administration, Transfer Stations, Recycling and Latex Paint pages, the county’s hazardous item list and business (CEG) form, the Tillamook Habitat ReStore page, and PaintCare’s Oregon page and locator data. Peer review the same day: the county’s collection page still lists 2025 dates; its notice confirmed the October 10, 2026 collection (now past). The December 12 and December 11 dates and the 20-gallon limit come only from PaintCare. Unresolved: the ReStore’s hours; whether the Tillamook Transfer Station takes any paint on regular days (no source says it does); whether 2026 business days are Fridays (PaintCare) or the Saturday collection days (as in 2025); whether the Pacific City station still sells recycled paint after its schedule change; the current business form (the one posted is titled 2024).
