We help people get rid of leftover paint the right way.
Who we are
Paint Again was founded by Tim Sumerfield, who has worked in hazardous waste and recycling for 15 years. He started out recycling mattresses and built Paint Again to make getting rid of paint simple: find the right place to take it, or have it picked up.
Free options first
Our city guides show the free ways to get rid of paint first. Pickup is there for when dropping it off doesn’t work for you.
How we research
Each city guide is researched with the help of AI and checked against official sources: city and county websites, the drop-off sites themselves, PaintCare and state agencies. We link every source. The date on each guide is when we last checked those sources. We don’t call or visit every site, so call before you go.
When sources disagree
We go with the drop-off site’s own current instructions. If that doesn’t settle it, we tell you about the conflict and who to call.
Adding new cities
We only publish a city once we’ve found real drop-off sites, what they accept, limits, costs and who can use them.
