From PaintCare’s drop-off map ↗, updated October 6, 2026. Hours and limits are PaintCare’s. Distances are straight-line, not driving.
Choose stops by material. The city lists the landfill for some electronics and glass but sends paint to the South 6th Street store. Keep stops separate so you don’t bring liquid to a site that won’t take it.
Tell the store it’s business paint. PaintCare takes business oil paint only from very small businesses, not based on how few cans you have. Business water-based paint has other rules. Oil paint from a business that doesn’t qualify goes elsewhere.
Debris with lead paint or asbestos follows the county’s demolition rules, not the paint store. The county lists forms needed before landfill disposal. Don’t mix chips or solvents into liquid paint.
Call the city-listed Sherwin-Williams, 4525 S 6th Street, for house paint. It’s open Sundays, but check for space before loading.
The city sends paint to Sherwin-Williams on South 6th Street. That store is separate from the county landfill and the nearby recycling sites.
The city’s recycling list names Sherwin-Williams for paint. It sends other materials to Old Fort Road and Greensprings Drive, which doesn’t mean they take paint.
Painted lumber, scraped-off paint and demolition waste aren’t leftover house paint. The county needs paperwork for asbestos and lead-painted debris; ask before hauling.
For a lot of house paint, request PaintCare pickup at View program details ↗ . For thinner, spray paint or unknown chemicals, call county Solid Waste at 541-883-5121 option 7.

Count cans and note label details. Keep good cans sealed and upright. Ask about damaged or unlabeled cans before moving them.
Full preparation checklist →No. That’s the county Solid Waste office, not a drop-off. Use the store listed here.
Not for sure. Call about space, your products and amount.
We found no daily store limit and no current county hazardous waste event. Ask the store about space and the county about chemicals.
