County household events take paint, stain and aerosols; stores won't take spray paint. The 2026 Moses Lake event is October 24, the last listed this year. After that, hold the aerosols until the county posts its spring event. Use original, non-leaking containers of 5 gallons or less.
The Yonezawa store takes 10 gallons per weekly visit, per the county. County events have allowed 30 gallons of paint and stain per vehicle (October 24, 2026 flyer), if there's space. For 100 gallons or more, ask PaintCare about pickup. Don't assume several store trips in one day are OK.
Grant's household event doesn't take waste from businesses, agencies or apartment maintenance. Call 509-754-6082 for the separate option. A landlord or maintenance crew can't use the household event just because the work was in homes.
For regular paint, the county lists Sherwin-Williams on Yonezawa Boulevard. Thinner and aerosols go to a Grant County event. The last 2026 event in Moses Lake is Saturday, October 24, 9–2, at 12171 Wheeler Road, with a 30-gallon paint/stain limit. 2027 dates weren't posted as of October 6, 2026.
In Moses Lake, a paint store listed by the county takes small paint-only loads all year. Other household hazardous waste may have to wait for a county collection event.

Grant County holds collections now and then and posts limits for each date. Don't show up at a road shop outside an event.
Grant County says you can take household amounts of liquid latex to the Ephrata Landfill. Dried latex with the lid off can go in the garbage. Oil-based paint must go to a county event or PaintCare.
At some events, Grant County offers paid disposal for small businesses. Register at least one week ahead. Businesses can't use the household line without approval.
