From PaintCare’s drop-off map ↗, updated October 6, 2026. Hours and limits are PaintCare’s. Distances are straight-line, not driving.
Book a Circular.eco slot and use the West Avenue entrance. Keep wall paint, primer, stain and varnish apart from spray cans and thinner, in intact labeled cans. Missed it? Take 5-gallon loads to a downtown store.
The stain can go to the paint event; the sealer can’t. Check the county’s hazardous waste guidance for the sealer and confirm a real date before a second trip.
Ask the organizer whether businesses can come and how much; the page doesn’t say. A PaintCare business option or large pickup may fit better, especially if it would take several vehicles.
Sustainable Saratoga collects paint Saturday, October 17, 2026, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., at Saratoga Springs High School, its only 2026 date; nothing for 2027 was up as of October 6, 2026. Otherwise, Sherwin-Williams on Washington Street and Allerdice Ace on Walworth Street take 5 gallons per visit.
The October event suits a paint-only cleanout but takes less than a hazardous waste event and runs once a year. Two downtown stores cover the rest of the year.
Enter the high school lot from West Avenue. Volunteers unload while you stay in your car. Check the sign-up link and that the event is on before leaving; it’s one October day, not an ongoing school drop-off.
The event takes most household paints, including stain and varnish. It refuses car and boat paint, spray cans, solvents and two-part products, plus driveway sealer and roof patch.
Outside October 17, PaintCare lists Sherwin-Williams, 226 Washington Street, and Allerdice Ace Building Supply, 41 Walworth Street, 5 gallons per visit each; call about space. For chemicals the event refuses, ask Saratoga County or city Public Works about a hazardous waste option. County materials lists don’t mean an open appointment or daily drop-off.

Bring intact, original labeled cans with tight lids, with nothing added. Keep refused items apart so volunteers sort fast. Give your amount and any business use at sign-up.
Full preparation checklist →No. Drop-off is free; the donation is optional, not a fee.
Not to this event; the host refuses it. Hazardous waste programs take different things on a different schedule.
We found no unlimited business allowance, and the page sets no business or gallon rule. Get an OK before loading business paint.
Not that we can see. The host lists just one 2026 date, and there were no 2027 dates up on October 6, 2026. Use a PaintCare store meanwhile.
The host’s page on October 6, 2026 gave date, hours, Circular.eco sign-up, entrance, product lists and free drop-off with optional donation, but no other 2026 or 2027 date. Store limits are from PaintCare’s October 6 locator. No gallon cap, town limit or business rule is posted; we don’t claim it’s unlimited.
Checked October 6, 2026 against these sources, not by phone. How we research.
