Dry latex the way the city shows
For an inch or two, leave the lid off. For more, stir in equal parts kitty litter until it looks like oatmeal and let it sit at least an hour. For big amounts, pour 1–2 inch layers into a tub lined with plastic and let each layer dry.
The city landfill turns paint away
Savannah’s landfill rules list paints and free liquids as banned under Georgia’s solid waste rules. Hauling cans out yourself won’t work; dry the latex first.
