Fort Morgan, Colorado has two paint drop-offs, both on Platte Avenue: Sherwin-Williams on the west end and Ackley Ace on the east end. Hometown Auto and Hardware in Brush makes three for Morgan County. The county landfill on County Road 22 turns away liquids and hazardous waste, and Morgan County isn't on the state's list of household chemical collections, so spray paint and thinner have no local home.

October 16, 2026 review. Read: Morgan County's Solid Waste Management page; its MSW short form (dated 2015) and 2026 fee schedule PDFs; Fort Morgan's sanitation FAQs; the CDPHE program list (no Morgan entry, Weld sites for Weld residents, Clean Harbors statewide); PaintCare's Colorado page and locator data. CDPHE's statewide list also names Veolia in Henderson (by appointment). The store drop-offs rest only on PaintCare's list. No store was phoned or visited. Not settled: whether the landfill takes dried latex; Clean Harbors' prices and item list; any future Morgan County chemical day. The county's long-form acceptance policy PDF could not be read as text.
