Which option fits your Denver cleanout?3
Ten mostly empty gallon cans are taking up space
GreenSheen’s pickup minimum counts what cans hold when full. List sizes, send the free request, and wait for a set time; no truck comes that day. Smaller loads can go to Jason Street.
Paint plus spray cans and brush cleaner
Split products first. GreenSheen takes listed house paint and finishes, not spray paint, thinner, solvents or some repair products. Tell a chemical disposal service exactly what’s left. Don’t slip those into a free paint pickup.
A contractor or property manager has lots of paint
GreenSheen says drop-off has no limit, easier than testing several stores. Check business rules, oil-based paint and odd containers with GreenSheen first. Its free household pickup doesn’t approve a business pickup.
Denver rules and tips2
THE LOCAL ANSWER
GreenSheen takes paint free at 1055 S Jason Street. It also picks up free from Denver County homes with at least ten gallons, by can size, on a set date.
Denver residents can drop off paint free at GreenSheen, and households with enough paint can get free pickup. Check both before paying a hauler.
Weekday drop-off or free pickup
The Jason Street site is open weekdays. GreenSheen picks up at least ten gallons, by can size, from homes in some Front Range counties, including Denver.
Exactly ten gallons? Ask
PaintCare’s limited-time pickup says more than ten gallons; GreenSheen says at least ten. With exactly ten, call GreenSheen at 800-507-4200.
Free pickup programs and other options
PaintCare’s map may show a closer store. For spray paint and solvents, ask Denver about household hazardous waste; GreenSheen won’t take them. Free pickup details: View program details ↗ .
Getting your paint ready
When booking pickup, add up can sizes and name each product. Ask which cans count before putting anything outside.
Full preparation checklist →Denver questions2
Is free pickup available for any amount?
No. It’s for households, with amount, area and product rules. Contact GreenSheen.
Can solvent go with my house paint?
Not with regular paint recycling. It needs a different service.
Sources and how we checked4
Confirm the pickup time, and describe business waste separately. GreenSheen’s pickup page covers eight Colorado counties, not Boulder or Larimer.
Checked October 4, 2026 against these sources, not by phone. How we research.
