From PaintCare’s drop-off map ↗, updated October 6, 2026. Hours and limits are PaintCare’s. Distances are straight-line, not driving.
The county site serves El Paso and Teller households with proof of address. Come during open hours; it closes noon–1 pm, and there’s no household drop-off Wednesday. Unlike a paint store, it also takes solvents and spray cans.
Paint and stain: 50 gallons per household per year, not per trip; no container over five gallons. Fifty or more items, a trailer or half a pickup load needs approval and an appointment, and can’t come on extra Saturdays. Hit your yearly limit? Try PaintCare.
GreenSheen’s pickup covers El Paso and Teller counties with a ten-gallon minimum by can size. It won’t take spray paint or thinner, so it may cover only part of your cleanout. Wait for a confirmed pickup before leaving anything out.
For a mixed household cleanout, go to the El Paso County site at 3255 Akers Drive on its open days. For a big paint-only load, look at GreenSheen’s free El Paso and Teller pickup.
