The town lists Truckee Paint Mart for 20 gallons per visit, and the store confirms its Industrial Way address and weekday and Saturday hours. Check for room first, and keep each can at five gallons or less.
Book the event at Cabin Creek Road. The transfer station being open doesn't mean the hazardous waste team is there. Summer Fridays end in September, so use the booking calendar for October.
Household events don't take business waste. Qualifying small businesses can book a separate Friday before household dates, with prices on request. Ask TTSD about qualifying and ID first.
Ace takes up to five gallons of paint. The town lists Truckee Paint Mart for up to 20 gallons per visit. For mixed chemicals, book an Eastern Regional hazardous waste appointment; regular transfer station hours won't work.
Truckee has paint stores for a few cans and appointment-only hazardous waste events at Cabin Creek Road for bigger cleanouts.
Call Mountain Hardware for a small amount of paint. For thinner, unknown chemicals or anything PaintCare won't take, ask Tahoe Truckee Sierra Disposal about an event.
Extra Friday household events run May–September. Otherwise, plan around the monthly appointments, not landfill hours.
Businesses need TTSD's separate small business appointments and an active EPA ID number. PaintCare may haul away 100+ gallons (by can size) at no cost.

Keep labels and lids on. Book your slot before you go, and don't pour paint together to cut the can count.
Full preparation checklist →No. You need an event appointment.
The town page and PaintCare's California FAQ disagree. Drop it off, or ask for current local rules before binning it.
Paint Mart's address and hours are confirmed. The town also lists Kelly-Moore, which is out of date, so it's left out. Who can use the events depends on the TTSD program, not a Truckee mailing address.
