In South Lake Tahoe, in El Dorado County, leftover paint goes to South Tahoe Refuse's household hazardous waste facility at its transfer station, 2140 Ruth Avenue. October 16, 2026: read South Tahoe Refuse's hazardous waste, transfer station and California residential pages and its 2026 service guide (PDF); El Dorado County's household hazardous waste facilities and events pages (via WebFetch; direct downloads were blocked); and PaintCare's locator data for South Lake Tahoe, Meyers and Placerville.
