Logan, Utah (Cache County) has an everyday paint drop-off: the household hazardous waste area at the Logan Landfill & Transfer Station, 153 N 1400 W. Logan City Environmental runs it, and it’s free for residents. Nearby cities send their residents here too; Nibley tells residents to take all hazardous waste to the Logan City Landfill. Utah has no PaintCare program.
One site serves the whole valley
Logan’s transfer station is the drop-off for Cache County households, and the city charges all county residents the same prices. Nibley City sends its residents here for hazardous waste (scale house 435-716-9777).
Dry what you can
Logan’s own pages say only that empty containers can go in your regular trash. PaintCare’s listing for the program, which the city hasn’t confirmed, adds that latex can be dried with sawdust or another absorbent and put in your garbage. Ask the city before you rely on that.
Labels and big loads
PaintCare’s listing caps residents at 20 gallons of any one item and asks that every item be labeled. The city’s pages don’t confirm that limit. If you have a lot of paint or a jug with no label, call 435-716-9755 first.
Lunch hour may be closed
The scale house runs 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. PaintCare’s listing says the hazardous waste program closes from noon to 1 p.m. and on holidays. The city doesn’t post that, so aim for the morning or mid-afternoon, or call ahead.
Cover the load: $10 fee since January
Logan began charging $10 for uncovered loads on January 1, 2026, and state law now requires at least that much. Loads resting on straps or spilling over the bed count as uncovered.
