THE LOCAL ANSWERTake paint to the Henderson Transfer Station, 560 Cape Horn Dr., Wednesday–Saturday, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., during South Valley weeks on Republic’s calendar (next: Oct. 14–17 and Oct. 28–31). It’s free for Republic customers with ID matching their address, up to 15 gallons. The city’s Henderson Shines event on Oct. 17 also takes paint.
Henderson, Nevada, has the valley’s South Valley paint drop-off right in town, at the Henderson Transfer Station on Cape Horn Drive. Republic Services takes paint there on its scheduled weeks. The city’s Henderson Shines cleanup on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at the M Resort also takes paint. Nevada has no free store take-back.
Henderson Shines is Saturday, Oct. 17
Drive through the M Resort’s east lot (Bowes Ave. and Gilespie St.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Paint, oil and batteries are taken under Republic’s rules, with liquids capped at 15 gallons, sealed. It closes at 1 p.m. or when capacity runs out, so arrive early.
Cape Horn Drive takes paint only on hazardous waste days
The transfer station is open 7 a.m.–3 p.m. every day for trash, recycling and free electronics, but paint is only taken Wednesday–Saturday, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. on South Valley weeks. The weeks alternate with North Las Vegas, so check Republic’s calendar first. Next up: Oct. 14–17 and Oct. 28–31.
You already have the Republic bill you need
Henderson Municipal Code 5.17.220 makes trash service mandatory at any property in the city connected to water service. The city lists Republic Services for trash. PaintCare’s listing says drop-off is free for Republic customers who show ID matching their address.
Holiday weeks and shared Saturdays
Republic says the drop-offs close on all holidays. The 2026 calendar marks Thanksgiving Day closed, but not every holiday, so call 702-735-5151 before a holiday week. On North Valley weeks, the Saturday is marked for both sites, so Henderson is open those Saturdays too (next: Oct. 24 and Nov. 7).
