October 17 is the “Bring It” event
The county lists its October 17, 2026 date as the “Bring It” event “@ MS Power.” It gives no address or hours for it. The May 2025 Bring It event was at Mississippi Power’s Plant Watson in Gulfport, where about 500 cars came through. Check the county page or call 228-896-0206 before you go.
Weekdays need an appointment

Keep it in small cans you can see
The site won’t take paint in anything bigger than a 1- or 5-gallon container. Load everything in your trunk, truck bed or trailer, unbagged, so staff can see it. Don’t leave anything at the gate.
Waste Pro won’t take it
Gulfport’s trash contractor, Waste Pro, won’t pick up paint, paint buckets or any liquids. The city tells residents to take hazardous materials to the county site on Lorraine Road.
