From PaintCare’s drop-off map ↗, updated October 6, 2026. Hours and limits are PaintCare’s. Distances are straight-line, not driving.
The county charges $20 for 6–10 latex cans of one gallon or smaller. A PaintCare store may take them free, if it has room. "Free hazardous waste" doesn't include the latex fee.
Households can come Saturday, but business appointments are only Wednesday–Friday, 8–3. Ask for an appointment and wait until it's confirmed. Don't show up during household hours expecting business service.
Snohomish's site won't take empty containers. If your load is over 40 gallons, list the paint left separately from the empty cans before you call. Ask how staff count a mixed load instead of guessing by how full the cans look.
At McDougall Avenue, household oil paint and other hazardous waste are free. Latex paint has a county fee. Check PaintCare drop-offs before you pay to get rid of liquid latex. Call ahead if you have more than 40 gallons.
Everett's county drop-off is handy if you're clearing out a mix of household chemicals. But it charges a fee for latex paint. Check for a PaintCare store first.
A few nearly empty small cans can cost the same as full ones. Ask for a price based on your can count, not on how much paint is left.
Households can come Wednesday–Saturday. Businesses need a separate paid appointment and must qualify.
Use the PaintCare map to find a free drop-off for house paint. For loads that are mostly solvents or items PaintCare doesn't take, call the county site first.

Don't pour leftover latex together. The county wants paint in its original cans.
Full preparation checklist →No. The county charges households to recycle latex. Other household hazardous waste is free.
Yes, especially if you have more than 40 gallons.
We don't name a store because we couldn't confirm a current one. The county's latex fee depends on how many cans you bring. Check the current fees before you go.
