The city lists free curbside Fall Clean-Up for residents during the last two weeks of October. The page gives no separate rules for it, but its junk pickup section says no tires, paint or hazardous material will be picked up. Keep the paint cans out of the pile and call Public Works at 606-864-5521 to ask.

Harden small amounts of latex with cat litter, sand or dry dirt, let it dry outside, and once it won't pour, set the open can out for garbage pickup, as Kentucky's fact sheet says. Checked October 17, 2026 from the City of London's Public Works, Recycling, Garbage Service Notice, two-can billing notice and Pick-up Assistance pages and a site search for paint and hazardous, the state Solid Waste Coordinators directory (updated October 13, 2026), the state paint fact sheet (2017, hosted by Paducah), the 2026-27 grant recipient list, May 2026 grant release, HHW grant handbook and grants page, Sentinel-Echo reports (2020 landfill vouchers, 2023 tire week, 2023 illegal dumping, 2023 London recycling grant), Waste Connections' Laurel Ridge page, and data/paintcare/sites.json (no Laurel County record).
